PART THIRTY SIX

LOCATION CONFIRMATION

We were informed earlier today that our media shoot has been moved to Friday 30th January. 

We have emailed Loz (costume) asking if we could borrow a child's dress for Evangeline's costume as there is no other way we would be able to get it in time. We are still waiting for a reply to confirm this.

We have also emailed Ted (Cornhill housemaster) to ask if we could use his bathroom in Cornhill to shoot the drowning scene. 

Ideally, we wanted to use a bathroom like this 

But due to the short time limit we've been given, it will probably look something more like this 

We spoke to the media team who advised us to use a proper bathroom rather that take a bath into the studio as it will appear much more realistic.

Hannah Nanton, playing Brooke, will be driving her car in the last shot (the car scene)

Alex and Demitri, playing young Michael and Old Michael have confirmed that they will be available on the shoot date (Friday 30th).

PART THIRTY FIVE

The Bath Shots

Some of the shots in the opening sequence will be taken in a bath. For this we need to have an idea of the type of camera shots and angles we want to use. I have gathered some pictures to expand my ideas further. We may want to shoot some underwater.

PART THIRTY THREE

LOCATION FOR EVANGELINE

CORNHILL MANOR: 
Evangeline will likely be filmed at Cornhill Manor On 
FRIDAY 13TH FEBRUARY. The shots here will be of the staircase which young Evangeline climbs, The door of the bathroom and the hallway she walks down while looking for her sister.


THE STUDIO: 
It will also be necessary to film certain shots in the film studio; such as the bath shots, the underwater shot and the keyhole shot.


CAR PARK:
It may be possible to shoot the car shots in a car park to create a realistic setting.

PART THIRTY TWO

Costume/appearance of characters for Evangeline

YOUNG EVANGELINE

We will use a teenage girl to play young Evangeline.Costume: Dresschild's dress and put a bow in her hair. 
It will be white to represent her purity. Her hair will be in a low ponytail and she will wear minimal makeup showing her youth.

YOUNG MICHAEL
We will use a teenage boy to play young Michael.
Costume: White shirt with a pair of chinos. It will represent his smart superclass upbringing, but is not too modern. He will have his hair combed over as it is set in the 90s.

MONA
We will use a teenage girl to play Mona, Evangeline's sister.
She will be in the bath at the time of her death. 
Costume: This means she will appear to be nude. Her hair and make up will be smudged and running across her face from the bathwater, showing her distress. Her hair will be wet at the beginning of the scene and at the end.

OLDER EVANGELINE / OLDER MICHAEL / BROOKE 
After the end of the drowning flashback, we cut to a shot of the two siblings in a car when they are older, along with their friend Brooke.
Costume: They will all be dressed in modern winter clothes as we are approaching the 21st century time.

PART THIRTY ONE

NOTICE:

We have been given our shoot date: FRIDAY 13TH FEBRUARY.

It is unlikely we will be able to find an actress in time to play Evangeline's mother (who drowns herself), so instead, we will change the character to her sister. This means we can use a young looking girl from our college to play the role.

Another change is that we will only use one other friend in the car shot. So the car show will include; the older Evangeline, Her brother Michael (older version) and her friend Brooke.
