PART TWENTY FOUR
Evangeline - Pilot
We filmed this on a flip-cam in order to grasp a sense of what our final shot sequence might look like.

A pilot program, also called a
feasibility study or experimental trial, is a small-scale experiment
that helps an organization learn how a large-scale project might work in
practice.
We used in-camera editing, a process where you film the sequence shots in the order of which you want them to appear when watched back. This saved us a lot of time because we didn't have to use an editing software on a computer. We did, however, put some music in the background of this clip to give ourselves and the audience an insight into what the mood might be.
This is a useful planning exercise as it shows the cameramen (us) a rough idea of what we want the final shots to look like.

ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the pilot and the still images which represent your idea well. You should have posted what a test screening is for and explain how this helps plan what your opening sequence would look like. This would demonstrate an understanding of what you are planning to do a test pilot is a great way to do this.
