PART TWENTY FOUR
Idea 2 continued..
The imagery that Nick Mulvey created through the lyrics of his song have given me an idea about the type of music video I'd like to create for his song.
The music video will be narrative based. I feel like the song is based around being at one with nature and feeling like you belong somewhere.
Therefore I am combining the great outdoors (nature) with feeling like you belong somewhere, amongst friends (school).
The simplified narrative plot of the music video includes; a girl, girls, bored in class, who sees her friend out the window telling her to come down. She climbs out the window and they run away together.

There will be a shot of the girl in her lesson, a long shot of the classroom and various close up shots of the girl tapping her pencil on the desk and glancing at the clock, etc. This will show her anticipation to leave and not be confined within the classroom, relating back to Nick Mulvey's song lyrics about daydreaming and nature.
Then a long shot of the girl looking out the window which changes to a close up shot to see her facial expression when she notices her friend. There will the be a shot of her friend standing outside below.
We will show her from the inside climbing out of the window, then get a shot of her from outside when she's nearly all the way down.
There will be long/wide shots of the two friends laughing and running away into the distance.
When the beat of the song kicks in we will get a mid shot from the side which follows the girls run past the camera and when they get to the field, there will be shots of them clapping their hands against each other but in time with the beat.
